The 2025 IU Indianapolis Open Education Award winners are Elizabeth Kryder-Reid, Audrey Ricke and Laura Holzman. Their openly licensed resource, Teaching Toxic Heritage, brings together interdisciplinary readings, discussions and activities designed to foster critical engagement with pressing issues of environmental harm and community memory.

The award celebrates their commitment to expanding access to knowledge, empowering students and advancing the values of open education at IU Indianapolis and beyond.
