The Special Collections and Archives Photo Caption Contest is back for 2026!

The archive team at University Library works hard to carefully curate old photos from its massive image holdings for the monthly contest. The January photo is from 1947 and features Herron art students striking a pose. Submit the wittiest caption to win a prize and bragging rights for the new year.

Andy Smith won the December 2025 Caption Contest with his poetic submission, “When what to my wondering eyes did appear, but a cheap cart sleigh and boy watching in fear.”
