Two IU Indianapolis programs that serve P-12 initiatives and strategies have transitioned to the Division of Enrollment Management. The goal is to better support students and families and strengthen educational access and workforce pathways.

The alignment brings together community engagement, outreach and data-informed support to provide more coordinated guidance from early learning through postsecondary education and career preparation.

Family, School and Neighborhood Engagement, previously within the Office of Community Engagement, works alongside families, schools and community organizations to support P-12 students and strengthen learning environments. The program builds trusted relationships and responds to locally identified priorities that help students succeed in school and beyond.

The SPAN Division, previously within the Division of Undergraduate Education, offers accelerated immersion programs that help students build academic skills, confidence and familiarity with the college environment. The program primarily serves high school students but is also open to younger learners.

“The Division of Enrollment Management has the infrastructure and data capacity to support students from early learning through high school, regardless of whether they choose college, trade school apprenticeships or the workforce,” said Jordan Stevenson, vice chancellor for enrollment management. “The alignment of P-12 activities to our unit strengthens IU Indianapolis’ mission to be a driver of educational access and workforce development and reinforces the Division of Enrollment Management’s role as an educational partner, not just a college recruiter.”

The new alignment was effective Jan. 1. The Division of Enrollment Management also includes the Office of the Registrar, Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships, Office of Student Scholarships, Office of Undergraduate Admissions, Military-Connected Student Services, and the Strategic Enrollment Initiatives, Outreach and Partnerships.
