University Library to host Open Education Week events

Open Education Week is an annual worldwide initiative dedicated to promoting open and accessible education.
University Library will host workshops and conversations March 2 to 6 for faculty, staff and students to explore open education resources and support at IU Indianapolis. Events will also highlight the importance of creating more accessible learning materials for classrooms.
Workshops include “Customizing Open Educational Resources for Your Class” from noon to 1 p.m. March 3 via Zoom, where participants will learn how to make free customizable instructional materials with Pressbooks.
“Making OER Count in Promotion and Tenure” will take place from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. March 4 in University Library 1116 and via Zoom. This lunch-and-learn event will focus on how the creation and adoption of open educational resources can be positioned as meaningful scholarly, teaching and service contributions in promotion and tenure reviews. Lunch will be provided for in-person attendees.
