Fall 2026 Diplomacy Lab applications are open to faculty on the IU Bloomington and IU Indianapolis campuses, with a priority deadline of April 8.

The program is an opportunity to involve students in shaping real-world foreign policy as consultants to the U.S. Department of State.

Projects can be integrated into existing undergraduate or graduate courses, designed as seminar-style classes, or structured as faculty-guided co-curricular research experiences. The application process is quick and straightforward, only requiring a 200-word proposal.

After the April 8 priority deadline, the U.S. Department of State will consider bids in the order they are received until Aug. 6 or until all projects are filled.
