In conjunction with the national celebration, a variety of events open to the campus community will be held the first week of November across IU Bloomington.
- First-Gen Kick-Off, 10 a.m. to noon Nov. 3 at Wells Library: Students and supporters can stop by to sign a banner, take a treat from Parlor Donuts and pose for a photo op.
- First-Gen Day, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Nov. 4 in Alumni Hall: The event will include giveaways, food and opportunities for campus partners and student organizations to interact and build community. RSVP is not required but is encouraged.
- First-Gen Legacy Dinner, 6 to 8 p.m. Nov. 6 in Alumni Hall: Students and their families will celebrate while hearing stories of success from alumni who were first-generation students. Students must RSVP to attend as seating is limited.
- First-Gen Friday, noon to 1:30 p.m. Nov. 7 in the Briscoe Quad Academic Support Center: The week of celebrations wraps up with a communal conversation around using AI as a form of stress management.
