Special events honoring the 250th anniversary of Jane Austen’s birthday continue in February with adaptations of her work from IU Theatre and IU Jacobs Opera and Ballet Theater.

IU Theatre will perform a stage version of “Pride and Prejudice” Feb. 13 to 21 at Ruth N. Halls Theatre. Faculty and staff can enter to win two tickets to the opening night performance. 

IU Jacobs Opera and Ballet Theater will premiere “Mansfield Park,” an opera based on Austen’s novel that follows a young woman as she is sent to live with wealthy relatives, Feb. 13 and 14 at the Musical Arts Center at IU Bloomington. The opera will also be performed Feb. 21 and 22 at the Madam Walker Legacy Center in Indianapolis.
