Stellic continues implementation with IU-wide course registration

Progress and major milestones continue in the implementation of Stellic, a platform that streamlines and improves students’ academic planning and progress tracking.

Beginning later this month, Bloomington and Indianapolis campuses can use Stellic for registration, officially onboarding all nine IU campuses.

Functionality for pathways and audits expanded to all campuses in the fall, giving students a clear, transparent view of their academic journey to help them plan coursework, monitor degree requirements and stay on track to graduate.

Public views of IU’s Stellic pathways are now available, providing broader visibility into degree planning resources.

Development, implementation and rollout of this tool has been a university-wide effort guided by pillar one of the IU 2030 strategic plan, Student Success and Opportunity.

The progress reflects broad collaboration across IU as hundreds of contributors from campuses and university administrative units have dedicated extensive time and effort to the initiative. Advising teams, registrar offices and recorders have been especially instrumental in adopting Stellic and supporting students through the transition.

Additional capability enhancements are planned as IU continues optimizing its use of Stellic to support student success, improve transparency and help more students graduate on time.

University leaders will continue partnering with campus stakeholders to refine the platform, expand its impact, and continue modernizing degree planning and registration. As Stellic simplifies students’ academic planning experience and unifies previously separate software systems, legacy tools like Academic Advising Reports, iGPS and the Student Center enrollment module will be sunset.
