The 2026 Indiana General Assembly legislative session concluded Feb. 27.

Throughout the session, Indiana University engaged with state lawmakers to highlight the university’s role in expanding access to higher education, preparing students for in-demand careers and advancing the state’s economic growth through transformative research and innovation.

Several measures approved during the session may impact the university and its operations. The Office of the Vice President for University Relations has compiled a summary of relevant legislation.
