Starbucks is expected to open in the IUPUI Campus Center in less than a month, according to Chartwells Dining and Catering Services. The Barnes & Noble Café closed during the summer when Follett took over as bookstore operator.
A Chartwells’ representative said that if the hiring, training and cleaning go according to plan, the new Starbucks should be ready for customers in the next few weeks.
Restaurant customers can skip the lines at Panda Express, Chick-fil-A and Pizza Hut using new kiosks or online ordering. Six self-service kiosks are now set up: two for Chick-fil-A, two for Panda Express, one for Pizza Hut and one for the Student Choice restaurant.
Online ordering is also an option for Chick-fil-A and Panda Express, through the Boost mobile food ordering app. Each restaurant has a pickup station for to-go orders. Pizza Hut is working to add mobile ordering.
