Campus community invited to annual Martin Luther King Jr. celebration

Photo by Alex Kumar, Indiana UniversityThe 56th annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration Gala will be held at 6 p.m. Jan. 19 at the Indiana Roof Ballroom in downtown Indianapolis.

The featured speaker is Frank Leon Roberts, a professor at Amherst College with a two-decade career in grassroots organizing. Roberts’ insights have been shared on CNN, NPR and other prominent platforms. He holds a bachelor’s degree, master’s degree and Ph.D. from NYU.

In addition to the keynote address and dinner, the event will also include intentional opportunities for networking and reflection on King’s enduring impact and in reimagining how to embody his legacy of courage, justice and community resilience.
