The IU Indianapolis Graduate School will host mentoring training events in January.

Faculty and Staff Mentoring Dialogues are designed to strengthen participants’ mentoring of students through discussion and sharing of best practices. The next sessions will be held from noon to 4 p.m. Jan. 8 and 9 via Zoom.

Individuals who have completed eight hours of the Faculty and Staff Mentoring Dialogues are invited to take a Culturally Aware Mentor Training session from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Jan. 9 via Zoom.

The course helps mentors identify and address their personal assumptions, biases and privileges that may operate in their mentoring relationships. The training includes group discussion, case studies and role play.
