In March, basketball rises to paramount importance. Accordingly, IU Indianapolis Special Collections and Archives joins the “madness” with a basketball-themed Photo Caption Contest. Caption this scene from 1972 for a chance to win a prize and bask in the glory of victory.

Congratulations to Eric Snajdr for winning the February contest with the caption, “Bob was beaming. He was the center of attention all day in his new monochromatic pale pink outfit. It was all about to be immortalized in the yearly departmental photo. Then … Gerald, in his blue blazer, lunged in at the last moment and stole the show. Jeepers! And his outfit is not groovy at all!”
