A reminder that faculty, staff and family members enrolled on an IU employee medical plan can access convenient, affordable health care through the Marathon Health network of employee health centers. This includes eight health centers across Indiana — with seven in the Indianapolis area — as well as additional locations in other states. The expansion of health care options began in March.

Convenient, affordable, quality care

Marathon Health providers offer a wide range of services designed to keep employees healthy and address acute or ongoing medical concerns. The centers are equipped to provide comprehensive care, including primary and sick care, chronic condition management, labs and mental/behavioral health counseling.

One of the greatest benefits of using the Marathon Health centers is the cost savings. Preventive care and labs are available at no cost, while most other services such as counseling or sick visits cost just $35.

The centers also offer same or next-day appointments in many cases. Providers can see patients in person or virtually, saving time and the extra expense of going to urgent care.
