He previously worked for 15 years with Campus Facility Services in various roles, including as a master plumber and a zone maintenance manager.

“I am excited to have Rick return to the team,” said Camy Broeker, vice chancellor for finance and administration at IU Indianapolis. “In his 24 years at the Indianapolis campus, he has demonstrated a passion for customer service and a strong commitment to supporting staff. Rick is dedicated to establishing and maintaining relationships within the department, across the campus and across the university, which will allow him to seamlessly transition to this new role.”

As associate vice chancellor for Campus Facility Services, Patrick will oversee facilities operations on the Indianapolis campus, provide leadership to all Campus Facility Services units, ensure the operational efficiency of campus facilities, and work closely with other university departments and external partners to meet campus needs and support strategic priorities.

Patrick takes over after Rick Williams served in the role in an interim capacity for several months, following the retirement of Jeff Plawecki.

“I would also like to thank Rick Williams, who stepped up and has continued the strong leadership of the department, especially as the campus has transitioned to IU Indianapolis, without missing a step,” Broeker said. “Rick’s commitment to supporting the Campus Facility Services staff and the campus has been exemplary.”

Patrick’s appointment to the role was effective Sept. 23.
