For those who will be on campus during the upcoming holiday season, here’s a look at openings, closings and adjusted hours for some popular campus facilities and services.

Indiana Memorial Union

The IMU will be closed from 5 p.m. Dec. 23 to 8 a.m. Dec. 28. Apart from the listed dates, the building will be open from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. daily.

Eskenazi Museum of Art

The Eskenazi Museum of Art will be closed for the winter holidays from Dec. 23 to Jan. 9. The normal business hours will begin again on Jan. 10.

IU Cinema

U Cinema will offer in-person and virtual screenings through Dec. 14 before kicking off its spring season in 2022. The spring season will begin Jan. 13 with the return of the International Arthouse Series. Event information for the spring schedule will be posted on the cinema’s website as events are confirmed.

Libraries

Library locations will observe winter break hours, which vary by location. Most will be closed the weekends of Dec. 18 to Jan. 9, except for the Lilly Library, which will be open during regular Saturday hours on Dec. 18 and Jan. 8.

The Wells Library will be open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Dec. 20 to 23 as well as from Dec. 27 through Dec. 30 and again Jan. 3 to 7. Other library destinations will offer some weekday hours during break. Check hours for all library locations.

Campus Bus Service

The Campus Bus Service will run from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Dec. 18 to Jan. 8. The bus system will not operate Dec. 24, Dec. 25,Dec. 31 or Jan. 1.

Parking operations

Parking Operations will be open normal business hours — 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday — with the exception of the week of Dec. 27, when it will be fully closed. However, all online services will remain available during that week, including permit sales, citation payments and citation appeals.

Facility operations

The Bloomington campus Facility Operations Center will remain open to assist with maintenance trouble calls.

Call 812-855-8728 all hours, all days for assistance. Responses to calls received outside normal business hours of 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday and on the observed holidays of Dec. 24 and Jan. 31 will be limited to emergency maintenance.
