The Bloomington Faculty Council’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee is accepting nominations for the 2024 Inclusive Excellence Awards. Faculty, staff and students may nominate faculty from across IU Bloomington, with self-nominations welcome.
The award recognizes faculty who have demonstrated exceptional contributions to the continued enhancement of a diverse campus community in accordance with the Bloomington Faculty Council Statement on Diversity. Research, creative activity, teaching and service contributions are eligible for consideration.
The Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee will review nominations, and multiple awards ranging from $1,500 to $5,000 will be given this year. Nominations will close March 8, and winners will be notified in late April.
The award, now in its fourth year, is made possible through support from the Office of the Provost and IU Research. In fall 2023, the Office of the Vice President for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion hosted a ceremony in honor of the winners from the previous three years.
