Bradford Woods, Indiana University’s outdoor center located in Morgan County, offers experiential outdoor education and summer camp programs on its 2,500-acre campus that provide great opportunities for IU units, faculty and staff as well as children.

Overnight and day camps, formerly known as Explorers Camp, are available for ages 9 to 14. Activities include programs involving nature, arts and crafts, climbing, swimming, canoeing, and archery, among others. Sign up your child for select weeks in June and July.

Bradford Woods also offers adventure education and team-building opportunities that can aid IU departments’ and organizations’ team development, leadership development and team bonding. The activities include:

  • Ground-based activities: Challenges that focus more on planning, problem solving and creative thinking instead of physical ability.
  • Low challenge courses: Teams are challenged mentally and physically while traversing obstacles that are either on the ground or up to 10 feet off the ground.
  • High challenge adventures: Physically challenging, such as the Alpine Tower, Climbing Tower and ziplining.

A new activity is Tango Tower, a 50-foot-high, multi-route climbing and high ropes course. It’s accessible to everyone and available for solo recreational climbs and team-building or partner challenges.
