Mark Cuban Center, WTIU win regional Emmys

WTIU Public Television and Indiana University’s Mark Cuban Center for Sports Media and Technology staff each won multiple 2025 regional Emmy Awards from the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences Central Great Lakes Chapter. 

Mark Cuban Center staff members were awarded Emmys for their work on videos created for the IU men’s basketball and football teams. The football video “New Era” won the Promotion-Sports category, and the basketball video “No Time to Be Wastin’” won the Sports Open/Tease category.

WTIU won five Emmys, including four for “Major Taylor: Champion of the Race” in the topical documentary, short form/long form writer, director and musical composition/arrangement categories, and one to “Journey Indiana — A Chromatic Collaboration” in the Solo Storyteller Content category.

WFIU-FM also recently received national award recognition from the Public Media Journalists Association, which honors the best in local public radio journalism across the country.
