Nominations for new IU Bloomington Staff Council members are open and will be accepted through April 28. People may nominate themselves or others by completing an online form.

After nominations are received, the election will be conducted online from May 2 to 10. The Bloomington Staff Council will share the results in mid-May.

The council’s stated mission is to provide leadership in the ongoing improvement of IU’s policies and practices; represent and advocate for staff; and help staff navigate their university experiences in a positive manner.

Council positions are three-year terms. Members participate in monthly meetings; serve on one of the standing committees; meet with the IU Bloomington provost and other campus leaders; help with programming; and review issues and events. A monthly time commitment typically ranges from five to 10 hours.
