The fall semester is wrapping up, and winter break will begin soon. During the break, some buildings and services on the IU Bloomington campus may have modified hours or be closed.

Here are dates and times of what will be open and closed.

IMU, dining options

The Indiana Memorial Union will be closed Dec. 24 to Jan. 1. Its restaurants and other attractions will have varying hours:

• Dec. 20 to Jan. 9: Closed.

Lantern

• Dec. 20 to Jan. 6: Closed.
• Jan. 7 to 9: 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The Mix

• Dec. 20 to 23: 7 to 10 a.m.
• Dec. 24 to Jan. 1: Closed.
• Jan. 2 to 9: 7 to 10 a.m. and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Quarry Pie

• Dec. 20 and 21: 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.

The Biddle Hotel in the IMU will close at 1 p.m. Dec. 24 and reopen at 8 a.m. Jan. 2.

IU Dining locations will have limited hours and closures from Dec. 19 to Jan. 11.

Libraries

Most branch libraries, including the Lilly Library, will be closed Dec. 20 to Jan. 5. Some branches may open on Jan. 2, and the Herman B Wells Library is open through Dec. 24.

All library locations, including Herman B Wells Library, will be closed Dec. 25 to Jan. 1.

All libraries have will have fewer open hours during the weeks that classes are not in session, and these will vary by location.

Recreational Sports

Recreational Sports’ buildings and aquatics facilities will have varying hours.

Bill Garrett Fieldhouse, including Royer Pool and Pool 194, will be closed during the break, from Dec. 20 through Jan. 10. It will reopen at noon Jan. 11.

The Recreational Sports Field Complex will also be closed during the break.

Eskenazi Museum of Art

The Sidney and Lois Eskenazi Museum of Art building and galleries will be closed Dec. 22 to Jan. 11. Normal hours will resume Jan. 12.

Musical Arts Center box office

The Musical Arts Center box office will be closed Dec. 14 to Jan. 11.

Transportation and parking

Campus Bus Service will operate on a limited schedule from Dec. 22 to Jan. 10, including complete closure from Dec. 25 to Jan. 1. Normal service resumes Jan. 11. During winter break, one CM Route for the Campus/Mall Shuttle will run daily.

Fleet Services will be closed Dec. 25 to Jan. 1.

IU Ride will close Dec. 20 and resume services Jan. 12.

Parking

• Parking office: The Office of Parking Operations in the Henderson Street Garage will close early at 3 p.m. Dec. 24 and will be closed entirely Dec. 25 to Jan. 1. Regular hours resume Jan. 2. Online services will be available during the break.
• Parking enforcement: Parking enforcement in all zones will be suspended Dec. 25 to Jan. 1 except for game days.
• Gated facilities: Operational hours for gated facilities will be 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Dec. 19 to 23 and Jan. 5 to 9. Gates will remain up in parking garages from 3 p.m. Dec. 24 through Jan. 4.
• Motorist assistance: Service will be available from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily except Dec. 25 to Jan. 1. Regular service resumes Jan. 5.

Facility operations

The Bloomington campus Facility Operations Center will remain open to assist with maintenance trouble calls. Call 812-855-8728 all hours, all days for assistance.

Responses to calls received outside normal business hours, 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday and on the observed holidays of Dec. 25 to Jan. 1 will be limited to emergency maintenance.

Mail Services

Mail Services will be closed Dec. 24 to Jan. 4. Normal hours resume Jan. 5. Services will be available during this period only by advance arrangement. Any pickup requests must be submitted by Dec. 19. Normal hours resume Jan. 5.

Mail Services and Accountable Mail couriers will not be operating during break. The Office of the Bursar will be closed Dec. 24 to Jan. 4 and reopen Jan. 5.

IU Foundation deposits will be monitored for any needs that cannot wait.

Student Health Center

The Student Health Center will have reduced hours and closings during winter break:

• Dec. 22 and 23: 8 a.m. to noon and 1 to 4:30 p.m.
• Dec. 24: 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
• Dec. 25 to Jan. 4: Closed.
• Jan. 5 to 9: 8 a.m. to noon and 1 to 4:30 p.m.

During the break, Student Health Center resources can be accessed wherever you are by making a virtual visit appointment.

Office of Student Life

The departments within the Office of Student Life will have varied hours and closures during the break.

Early Childhood Educational Services

Early Childhood Education Services will be closed Dec. 22 to Jan. 6.

Other services

IU Surplus and the IU Warehouse will be closed Dec. 24 to Jan. 4 and resume operations Jan. 5.

IU Printing Services will be closed for the holidays beginning Dec. 24 and will reopen Jan. 5, but there will be limited staff Dec. 23 and Jan. 2. The Storefront Site and department group email will be monitored remotely for any orders that need to be taken care of.
