IU Surplus is working with the Salvation Army in Bloomington to collect 500 coats for local children in need.

The program runs through Oct. 31, and anyone who donates a coat in good condition is eligible for one of the following discounts:

• 10% off Apple products.
• 20% off Dell products.
• 30% off general merchandise.

People can drop off coats at the IU Surplus retail store at 3050 E. Discovery Parkway during business hours, noon to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
