The 2023-24 U.S. Fulbright Scholar competition is now open. The program awards American scholars and professionals more than 800 fellowships annually to nearly 140 countries, where they lecture and/or conduct research in a wide variety of academic and professional fields. Visit the Council for International Exchange of Scholars site for application details.
Below are a few facts to keep in mind:
- Grant lengths vary and are specified in the award description.
- Grant benefits vary, but they generally include travel and living expenses for the awardee and accompanying dependents.
- Open to U.S. citizens (permanent residents are not eligible).
- Application deadline: Sept. 15, 2022.
