All Indiana University community members, including students, faculty and staff with a vision and capacity to manage grant money, are eligible to apply for Black Philanthropy Circle grant funding. Applications for grants will be accepted through May 10.
Since 2019, the Black Philanthropy Circle has committed $175,000 in grants to IU projects, including support to the Mays Family Institute on Diverse Philanthropy at the Lilly Family School of Philanthropy at IUPUI.
Grants will be awarded to projects that make IU more welcoming, equitable and accessible for the Black community. The Black Philanthropy Circle believes diversity, inclusion and equity are indispensable elements of an education. It is unequivocally committed to taking a leadership role in making an education at IU as universally accessible as possible to the Black community.
The Black Philanthropy Circle is committed to continuous improvement of the recruitment, retention and support of Black students, faculty and staff by supporting grants, education, research, programs and career opportunities. The circle facilitates coordination of programs and supports initiatives to strengthen the engagement of Black alumni and friends of the university.
Applications should be submitted on the Black Philanthropy Circle grants page.
