Put your green thumb to work while gazing at the beautiful downtown Indianapolis skyline by volunteering in the IUPUI Urban Garden on New York Street.
Faculty, staff, students and community members can participate in open volunteer sessions every Friday morning through Oct. 28. Volunteers can come and go as their schedule allows between 9 and 11 a.m.
Light tasks include weeding, watering and harvesting. Volunteering in the Urban Garden is a great way to support sustainability, and you may even get to take home some fresh produce.
The closest IUPUI permitted parking is lot 63, right across the street from the garden at 1280 W. New York St. Register on the IUPUI Sustainability Events site.
