Reminder: Tuition benefit deadline

Employees who wish to use the IU tuition benefit for the summer 2022 semester/term must apply by July 30.

The IU tuition benefit reduces the cost of IU courses (including Advance College Project courses) for full-time academic and staff employees, medical and optometry residents, and former employees with IU retiree status. The benefit is also available to spouses and tax-dependent children under age 24.

For employees and spouses, the benefit is a subsidy toward tuition costs up to a specific dollar maximum. For children, the benefit is 50 percent of tuition costs at the Indiana resident undergraduate rate, up to the completion of a bachelor’s degree or 140 credit hours of IU tuition benefit awards, whichever comes first.

To apply for the benefit, employees should complete the online application before the semester/term deadline. New students must register for courses before applying for the benefit, and a new application must be submitted each academic year.
