Office of Online Education fall speaker series starts Sept. 14

The Indiana University Office of Online Education’s first monthly webinar in its fall speaker series is 10 a.m. to noon Sept. 14. Eduventures Chief Research Officer Richard Garrett is the guest speaker, and his topic is “CHLOE 7: The Changing Landscape of Higher Education.”

Garrett will review key findings of the report and then conduct a question-and-answer session.

Once you register, you will receive instructions for accessing the webinar. Unable to join live? Keep an eye on your inbox for a future link to the recording in Canvas.

The 2022 CHLOE 7 report, produced by Eduventures and Quality Matters, offers an overview of the current state of online learning in higher education and insights into its future development. The CHLOE series is based on a survey of online learning leaders at colleges and universities nationwide, and sketches a near future for higher education.

Catapulted by the pandemic, chief online officers anticipate that as soon as 2025, online learning will play a much bigger role in the typical student experience, not only among adult learners and graduate students, but also traditional undergraduates. Hybrid learning will be the norm.
