Bantz awards information sessions

Sessions to learn more about the Charles R. Bantz Chancellor’s Community Fellowship and the Bantz-Petronio Translating Research Into Practice Award will be held via Zoom:

  • 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. Dec. 1 .
  • 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Jan. 11.

During the informal meetings, faculty can get guidance on the submission process, ask questions and hear from previous awardees about the impact the awards have made in their research and careers. Register to attend.

The Bantz-Petronio TRIP Award recognizes outstanding work in translating research into practice by a faculty member at IUPUI. The recipient receives $1,000.

The Bantz Community Fellowship provides up to one year of research support for a collaborative research team made up of IUPUI faculty and students and may also include staff. Working with a named community partner organization, the team will address a pressing community issue, primarily in central Indiana or in the awardee’s campus region.

The deadline to apply for both awards is midnight Jan. 22.
