1095-C tax forms coming by March
Each year, Indiana University issues tax form 1095-C to certain individuals as required by the Affordable Care Act. This document reports information about the medical insurance offered by the university to employees, residents, student academic appointees and dependents.
1095-C statements for the 2022 tax year will be distributed no later than the IRS deadline, March 2, 2023.
Please keep the following in mind:
- You do not need to wait for this document to file your 2022 federal tax return. It is simply a reference document that should be kept with your tax records.
- The quickest and easiest way to receive your 1095-C is through electronic delivery. If you have consented for electronic delivery, you will receive an email from IU Human Resources when your statement is available. You can then view/download the PDF immediately from the Employee Center.
- If you are not signed up for electronic delivery, your statement will be mailed to your home address on file.
- Employees can sign up for electronic delivery at any time by visiting the 1095-C Electronic Consent task in One.IU. If the only option is to withdraw your consent, it means you’re already signed up for electronic delivery.
