New cancer research training for post-baccalaureate students

The newly funded Indiana University Melvin and Bren Simon Comprehensive Cancer Center American Cancer Society Post-Baccalaureate Diversity in Cancer Research Education Program is accepting applications.

Recent college graduates with interest in careers in cancer research and who are members of an underrepresented minority or disadvantaged population are encouraged to apply.

The two-year program includes hands-on lab research experience, a personalized professional development plan geared toward successful admission to a competitive graduate or professional program, interview preparation, and training in academic and professional life skills.

Program fellows will also receive a yearly salary of $37,565, health insurance, a housing stipend, travel funds to attend national scientific conferences and other benefits.

Applications must be submitted before April 1.
