“Professor Wallace’s leadership comes at a crucial time,” Klein said. “I speak on behalf of the campus administration in expressing our unwavering confidence in him and his ability to help the school navigate the 2024 transition with the academic strength, research productivity, and focus on student success that have been mainstays of all of our Engineering and Technology programs for many years.”
Wallace’s appointment as acting dean is effective July 1, 2023, to June 30, 2024, and he will maintain his responsibilities as chair of the Department of Biomedical Engineering.
He will take over for David Russomanno, who has accepted an executive position at the University of Memphis.
