Free health and wellness presentations available for students

Trained student employees in the Office of Health and Wellness Promotion are available to give free presentations about health and wellness to classes, student organizations and other groups.

Photo by Jacob Chaves The peer health educators facilitate the content and provide a unique peer-to-peer experience, which drives participant interest. The educators gave over 100 presentations to nearly 2,000 students in the 2022-23 academic year. 

 

Presentations are typically 50 to 75 minutes and span a variety of topics, including:

  • Stress and time management.
  • Mental health and resiliency. 
  • Eight dimensions of wellness. 
  • Nutrition and healthy eating. 
  • Sexual health. 
  • Healthy relationships. 
  • Alcohol awareness. 
  • Naloxone training.
