September 14, 2023
The September speaker for the Center for TRIP Scholar of the Month Conversation Series is Gerardo Maupomé, professor in the Department of Global Health and associate dean of research in the Richard M. Fairbanks School of Public Health.
His conversation, “The First Wave of Covid-19 and Its Influence on Social Networks of Hispanics,” will explore findings from data collected from 558 people from Central America and Mexico. Maupomé’s research team used the information to examine the evolution of social networks, health beliefs and health-related behaviors among the population groups.
Registration is open for the presentation, which will take place from noon to 1 p.m. Sept. 29 via Zoom.
The mission of the Center for Translating Research Into Practice is to promote and broadcast the important research of IUPUI faculty members.
