Indiana University’s popular live webinar series “Ask Aaron” will resume Sept. 20.
The series offers opportunities for students, faculty and staff to present health-related questions to Aaron Carroll, the university’s inaugural chief health officer and professor of pediatrics at the IU School of Medicine.
Topics for this semester, which are subject to change, include:
- Sept. 20: Climate Change: How It Impacts Health.
- Oct. 4: Mental Health.
- Oct. 18: Preparing for Winter Health.
- Nov. 1: Healthy Relationships.
- Nov. 15: Nutrition Myths.
- Nov. 29: Sexual Health.
Each webinar begins at 12:30 p.m., and attendees can register to participate from the “Ask Aaron” website.
Registrants can submit questions early or live during each webinar. The first two webinars will be hosted by WFIU-WTIU Assistant News Director Joe Hren, who has hosted both “Indiana Newsdesk” and “Ask the Mayor.”
The mission of the Office of the Chief Health Officer is to create a safe and healthy community for IU students, faculty and staff. The office’s programs, initiatives and services address the most pressing health and wellness needs of our many campuses and offer evidence-based and practical advice and solutions to the president, university leadership, the state of Indiana and beyond.
