A new student success technology platform is being launched for three Indiana University campuses: IU Columbus, IU East and IU Fort Wayne.
The platform, designed by vendor partner Stellic, helps students build their degree plan, track their progress and visualize the impact of different decisions along their path to graduation.
“Implementation of this new tool will help Indiana University students better visualize their pathway to graduation,” IU President Pamela Whitten said. “It also creates a far better user experience, making it easier for students to successfully plan and obtain their IU degree.”
This fall’s implementation is the first part of a phased rollout of multiple modules of Stellic, three of which will be available to all IU students by the end of 2025.
IU Kokomo, IU Northwest, IU South Bend and IU Southeast will launch Stellic in spring 2025; IU Indianapolis and IU Bloomington will begin using it in fall 2025.
Work has already begun to bring IU data into the new system for all the campuses launching in 2025. Advisors and others who interact with students will receive training on how to use Stellic before its launch on their campus.
“Once Stellic is fully implemented across Indiana University, it will make a big difference in how students track their progress toward graduation,” IU Vice President for Student Success Julie Payne-Kirchmeier said. “Currently, this happens with different isolated platforms that aren’t connected, placing significant burden on the student and advisors to ‘connect the dots’ manually. Stellic will help make the process of navigating a degree pathway so much easier and is another important way in which Indiana University supports student success as highlighted in the IU 2030 Strategic Plan.”
Implementation of this new digital platform is a collaboration between University Enrollment Services, the Office of the Vice President for Student Success and University Information Technology Services, with project management assistance from University Strategic Initiatives. This new platform directly supports the Student Success pillar in the IU 2030 strategic plan.
