The 2023 Women’s History Month Award recipients. Photo courtesy of the Office for Women.IUPUI faculty, staff and students may submit nominations for the 2024 Women’s History Month Recognition Awards, presented by the IUPUI Office for Women, through March 3.

The awards recognize excellence in support of gender equity, women’s empowerment, women’s history or cultures of inclusion; and honor students, faculty and staff who have demonstrated significant leadership, achievement, advocacy or service at the campus, community, national and/or international level.

Winners will be announced and celebrated at the Women’s History Month Recognition Reception. The event, from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. March 26 in the Campus Center Theater, is open to all.

The 2024 Women’s History Month national theme is “Women Who Advocate for Equity, Diversity and Inclusion.”

Women’s History Month was established by Congress in 1987 to address the fact that, “the role of American women in history has been consistently overlooked and undervalued in the body of American history.”
