Applications, nominations being accepted for vice president for finance and chief financial officer

An internal search process is underway for the vice president for finance and chief financial officer, with applications and nominations now being accepted on the university’s executive search website.

The position sits on the president’s cabinet and is the university’s top fiscal officer, coordinating budgetary, financial and administrative issues across all campuses. This individual is responsible for balancing IU’s operational and capital budgets, planning for changes in revenue, estimating enrollments, containing costs and managing the institution’s level of risk to protect its assets. The role oversees leaders responsible for long-range financial planning, budget planning, capital financing and investments, accounting operations, treasury management and procurement services.

Members of the search committee are:

  • Chair: Rob Lowden, vice president for information technology and chief information officer.
  • Greg Dam, University Faculty Council co-chair and associate professor of psychology and neuroscience.
  • Danielle DeSawal, clinical professor in the School of Education and president of the Bloomington Faculty Council.
  • Phil Goff, professor of American studies, adjunct professor of religious studies and history, and executive director of the Center for the Study of Religion and American Culture.
  • Latha Ramchand, IU Indianapolis chancellor and IU executive vice president.
  • Brenda Stopher, chief of staff to the president and vice president for strategic operations.
