Funding opportunities for community-engaged research

Indiana Clinical and Translational Sciences Institute Community Health Partnerships is accepting proposals for its Trailblazer Award and Trailblazer Planning Grant.

The Trailblazer Award supports collaborative, community-engaged research projects focused on topics that have potential to improve health, examine social determinants of health or enhance health equity. Up to $25,000 will be awarded to selected projects. The proposal deadline is June 1. 

The Trailblazer Planning Grant supports development of community-university partnerships to improve health, examine social determinants of health or enhance health equity to result in future collaborative research proposals. Up to $5,000 will be awarded to selected projects. The proposal deadline is Oct. 1. 

Proposals are open to applicants from any university in Indiana.

Housed at the IU School of Medicine, the Indiana Clinical and Translational Sciences Institute is a statewide research partnership among Indiana University, Purdue University, University of Notre Dame, Regenstrief Institute and several life sciences organizations, governmental entities and community groups.
