Indiana University has made two strategic appointments in financial leadership. Both will report to Jason D. Dudich, IU vice president and chief financial officer.

Associate vice president for financial enterprise engagement

Most recently, he served as chief financial officer at Rotex Global, where he led strategic growth planning and inventory optimization. Before that, he spent two decades at Eli Lilly and Co., holding several financial senior leadership roles, including CFO of its Australia/New Zealand affiliate and associate vice president of Shared Services Finance.

“Hormaz’s expertise in leading large, diverse teams, driving corporate growth strategy and managing stakeholder relationships will be a tremendous asset to IU as we strengthen financial operations across the university,” Dudich said. “His combination of corporate experience and deep ties to IU makes him an ideal fit for this important new role.”

At Lilly, Dubash led major cost-saving initiatives and improved operational performance in complex global environments. He holds both an MBA and a bachelor’s degree in business from the IU Kelley School of Business and has experience as a certified public accountant.

“It’s a wonderful opportunity to return to IU and contribute to the advancement of the university’s goals and priorities,” Dubash said. “I look forward to collaborating with colleagues across the university, building strong partnerships and supporting IU’s financial strength and long-term growth.”

Associate vice president for budget and planning

Brett A. Dunn has been appointed associate vice president for budget and planning, effective June 30. In this role, he will lead the University Budget Office and Finance Shared Services teams.

“Brett brings a wealth of expertise in strategic budgeting, financial operations and organizational leadership that will be instrumental as we advance the budget planning redesign process to create a more modern and effective framework for IU,” Dudich said. “We are excited to welcome his leadership in these critical areas.”

Dunn’s career highlights include managing an $890 million budget at the Defense Finance and Accounting Service and leading a major organizational transformation.
