Researchers across Indiana are invited to join the new interest group “Cancer, Obesity, Metabolic-Musculoskeletal Pathways: Advancing Scientific Solutions” or COMPASS.
Spearheaded by faculty at IU Bloomington and the IU Simon Comprehensive Cancer Center, COMPASS is focused on the role of metabolism in cancer and human disease and brings together researchers interested in:
- Cancer and obesity.
- Cardiovascular disease and aging.
- Metabolic regulation in mammalian and non-mammalian systems.
- Environmental exposures linked to metabolism and cancer.
The goal is to build a collaborative, statewide community that bridges clinical and basic science, strengthens research infrastructure and sparks new partnerships across campuses and disciplines.
Researchers who are interested in joining COMPASS and being part of the virtual seminar series can sign up online.
Registration is open for an in-person symposium hosted by COMPASS at the IU Simon Comprehensive Cancer Center on Nov. 25.
