This fall, all IU faculty and staff will gain access to GenAI 101, a free, noncredit, self-paced online course designed to help you build practical skills in generative AI. Keep an eye out for an email invitation to enroll via IU Expand on Aug. 25, when the course becomes available university-wide.

GenAI 101 offers practical skills in prompt engineering, productivity tools and idea generation. After completing the course’s eight short modules, an official course completion badge can be added to your LinkedIn to show that you’ve gained 20 in-demand GenAI skills.

All students will be automatically enrolled in GenAI 101 on Aug. 25, while faculty and staff will have the option to self-enroll. Those who work with students are asked to encourage them to complete GenAI 101 this semester.
