Christopher Lambert has been appointed executive director of enrollment management at Indiana University East.

“I am thrilled to welcome Christopher to our team,” IU East Chancellor Dennis Rome said. “With his leadership, we are poised to increase enrollment and better serve the needs of east-central Indiana and our online students.”

Lambert’s appointment to the position officially begins July 1, but he has already begun collaborating with the administration to ensure a seamless transition.

As the leader of the campus’s enrollment management efforts, Lambert will provide strategic direction and oversight for the admissions, registrar and financial aid departments.

With a depth of experience as a collaborative leader who has worked to increase new student enrollment while managing enrollment planning and strategic initiatives leading to the attainment of institutional enrollment goals, he is prepared to lead IU East to greater enrollment success.

Originally from South Carolina, Lambert has a proven record of achievement in previous roles with the South Carolina Governor’s School for Science and Mathematics and the University of South Carolina.

He has successfully developed staff, increased diverse enrollments, and established recruitment and visitation programs that have resulted in significant enrollment increases. His experience with transfer student evaluations and both traditional and nontraditional enrollment further reinforces his capabilities.
