Committee appointed in search for new IU Northwest chancellor
August 21, 2024
A search committee has been named to help identify the next chancellor of the Indiana University Northwest campus.
Ken Iwama, who had served as IU Northwest’s chancellor since 2020, was named vice president for regional campuses and online education in May 2024. Iwama took the vice president role following the retirement of Susan Sciame-Giesecke, while Vicki Román-Lagunas has been serving as IU Northwest’s interim chancellor.
IU Northwest leads its region in serving the needs of more than 3,000 students. The chancellor exercises broad responsibilities for all aspects of the academic, student, financial, development and administrative dimensions of the urban campus.
One of IU’s executive search partners, Storbeck Search, will conduct the search for the new campus chancellor.
