Digital Gardener Initiative to host AI professional development program

The Digital Gardener Initiative is a faculty-driven initiative designed to build community, share best practices, develop successful programs and build infrastructure to improve digital literacy at Indiana University.

This semester, the initiative is hosting an AI/Generative AI Series to familiarize participants with basic practices and considerations, develop creative confidence, and explore critical issues related to artificial intelligence.

The program, which includes nine webinars and online workshops, is open to all instructional faculty and staff from any IU campus.

The first webinar will feature AI expert Sid Dobrin, professor and English Department chair at the University of Florida, who will discuss “The State of AI/Generative AI & Higher Education: Where are we now and where are we going?” from 2 to 3 p.m. Sept. 9. Participants can register to attend the event.
