The seventh annual Indy Mock Hundred, a college mock trial tournament, will be held Nov. 9 and 10 in the courtrooms at the Community Justice Campus in Indianapolis.
Organizers depend on local judges, attorneys and law students to serve as volunteer tournament judges to make the program a successful growth opportunity for participants. The event is also an opportunity for students interested in law school to gain exposure to the local legal community.
This year’s tournament field includes competitors representing over 24 teams from across the country. They will complete four rounds of mock trials from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and 2 to 5:30 p.m. Nov. 9 and 8:30 a.m. to noon and 1:30 to 5 p.m. Nov. 10.
Volunteers can sign up to judge as few as one round or as many as all four. Judges will receive complimentary breakfast, lunch and parking.
The Mock Trial Team at IU Indianapolis encourages the community to share this volunteer opportunity with interested law students or legal professionals.
