Testing out new COVID-19 testing

To make IU’s on-campus COVID-19 testing even more convenient for students, faculty and staff, IU Southeast is piloting a new testing option: drop-off testing.
Drop-off testing lets you test on your own time, without scheduling an appointment or requiring you to be on campus during specific testing hours.
Test kits, which include a vial for saliva, an alcohol wipe and instructions, are available in a few locations across campus, including Meadow Lodge and University Center, and can be picked up at any time. If you’re required to participate in COVID Check testing, for example, you can pick up a test kit, provide your saliva sample at your convenience during the week and then drop the kit back off in one of the marked boxes before testing closes on Friday.
This new testing option is also available for symptomatic testing and voluntary asymptomatic testing. Symptomatic tests have a specific drop-off location, however, in the circle parking lot outside University Center North.
Due to the successful start of the drop-off testing pilot at IU Southeast, it’s likely that drop-off testing will expand to other campuses in the coming weeks.
