The search for Indiana University Bloomington’s chancellor and executive vice president is progressing, and town hall meetings are scheduled in the coming weeks for two final candidates.
The search committee is being co-chaired by David Daleke, dean of the IU Bloomington Graduate School, vice provost for graduate education and health sciences, and professor of biochemistry and molecular biology in the IU School of Medicine; and Danielle DeSawal, clinical professor of higher education and student affairs in the School of Education and president of the Bloomington Faculty Council.
The committee completed first-round interviews and recommended two candidates to President Pamela Whitten, who agreed that the candidates should advance and visit campus the weeks of Feb. 24 and March 3.
Their visits are as follows:
CANDIDATE A: Thursday, Feb. 27
- Faculty Town Hall: Noon to 1 p.m.
- Open Town Hall: 3:30 to 4:30 p.m.
CANDIDATE B: Thursday, March 6
- Faculty Town Hall: 1:30 to 2:30 p.m.
- Open Town Hall: 4 to 5 p.m.
These town halls will be held in person in Whittenberger Auditorium in the Indiana Memorial Union. A livestream will be available for those unable to attend.
