Trustees approve resolution to honor Tom Morrison

The Indiana University Board of Trustees passed a resolution honoring outgoing Vice President for Capital Planning and Facilities Tom Morrison during its February meeting.

Tom Morrison headshot Tom Morrison Morrison has accepted a new role as vice president for facilities at Duke University effective June 1. He will continue in his role at IU through the spring semester.

He has served as IU’s chief capital, facilities, planning and real estate officer since 2009. He was recognized with an IU Bicentennial Medal in 2019 and received the President’s Medal for Excellence in 2021.

“Whereas he has served Indiana University with distinction in multiple capacities for 16 years, including as chief liaison and representative to the Indiana General Assembly and other state agencies as associate vice president for public affairs and state relations, and currently serves as liaison to state and federal agencies for all capital-related items, and as an adjunct assistant professor for the Eskenazi School of Art, Architecture + Design … the Trustees of Indiana University congratulate Thomas A. Morrison on his many accomplishments and thank him for his exemplary service to Indiana University,” the resolution reads.
